LA Foster

Montreal based singer and songwriter/producer Lesley Ann Foster has been taking cues from the Montreal scene and her time living in Buenos Aires. The songs are percussively influenced by the South with the attitude of the Montreal nightlife.

Her first E.P. 'Saudade' was acclaimed in both Canada and Europe, and since, Foster has released a video and single for ‘Waverly’ via Vice and released 'Honestly' via Earmilk and Clash Magazine. Her recent release 'All My Lost Chances Are Beautiful' from November 2019 was released via Line of Best Fit in the U.K. and Exclaim! in Canada. The EP was picked up by Spotify's 'Fresh Finds' playlist bringing her music to new audiences worldwide. The new music continues to resonate the same sentiments of a plethora of places Foster calls home coupled with rich walks of life reflected in percussive sounds from Latin America to the electronic underground scene in Montreal. These releases brought the artist to play several prominent showcases, notably at events such as The Great Escape, Focus Wales, M for Montreal, Wavelength, POP Montreal, and Sled Island, where she has opened up for Kaytranada, The Juan MacLean, Allie X, TR/ST and more.

Currently working on her first full length album her collaborations (Stephen Ramsay (Young Galaxy), Persona, TONE, Brother May (Curl Records)) continue to influence her sample-rich, beat-heavy songs. Look out for new Spring and Summer announcements coming soon!
